IT EXPRESSES A PART OF SLOVENIAN TRADITION.
The "Kozolec Toplar" (Hayrack) is classified amongst one of the most valuable monuments reflecting the people's architecture and is deemed as a Slovenian special feature and also expresses a part of the Slovenian tradition.
IT HAS A SOUL.
The hayrack acts like a little old man with beety little eyes, eyebrows and gap-toothed. Each one tells their own story.
SERVES AS A MULTI-PURPOSE STRUCTURE.
The multi-purpose hayrack - drying, a shed for tools and storage for crops - contributed to the fact that this type of architecture was used across most of Slovenia's territory.
IT HAS A TYPICALLY RECOGNIZIBLE ARCHITECTURE.
We can especially find them in regions where our ancestors had settled, which mostly includes the regions of Štajerska, Koroška, Gorenjska, Dolenjska and in parts of Bela Krajina, Primorska and Notranjska including »Austrian Koroška« in Zilje and a little in Roža and Podjune.
WE CAN FIND IT IN DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS.
They are also widespread in Eastern Tyrol, in some parts of Switzerland and they also know them as the basic form for drying structures in Finland, Sweden, Belorussia and even in China and Japan.
However, the hayrack did not develop anywhere else as much in the structural, artistic and different unique functional forms as it did here at home. We still do not know what exactly contributed to this.
HAYRACK AS A GYM IN THE OPEN AIR
- We can preserve this unique Slovenian speciality even through sport
- We can satisfy the needs of potential market niches
- We can stimulate people to stay healthy in an attractive way
- We can ensure quality and safety for its multipurpose use
- Make the monotony and dullness of existing building more interesting where there is the biggest concentration and fluctuation of the population
